Leetstreet Boys: Cancelation Crisis Pt. 2
There’s been a lot of stuff in the news about manga publishers closing shop and firing staffers. Are you worried about the future of manga?
There’s been a lot of stuff in the news about manga publishers closing shop and firing staffers. Are you worried about the future of manga?
First <3
Actually, very much so…
A lot of my favorite artists are being forced to go out of business, just since the manga industry is doing so badly…
a bit. Considering I plan to go to school and work with Ichidan to gain experience so i can try for voice acting, it’s not the brightest prospect.
Yes,(Mostly, because the Manga I read, Is still not an anime XD)
And
I also Reacted like this to my little brother. When i Discovered That Lucky Star Got Cancelled
There…What?! They BETTER Not Cansel Raserio+Vampire,Or Naruto!
not entierly i only watch anime not read manga
it’s a different scenario for me considering that i read both online and buy the volumes of different series. it pisses me off when i read online and the manga i was in the middle of reading gets pulled off the next day due to publishing copyrights by stuff like yen plus (curse you for taking higurashi away from me!)
@NAES
Honestly manga SHOULD be pulled offline for copyright reasons because sure there are plenty of people who read something online and still buy a hard copy but there are so many more who DON’T and just read stuff online which doesn’t make any money for the publisher, which is bad business. Run on sentence EF TEE DOUBLE YOO!!!
One can only hope that this aspect of Otaku culture doesn’t disappear from the face of the earth.
WHAAAAT?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! MY MANGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
@ZANSHLOU
Firstly, there’s a lot of manga that I would not have purchased if I had not first read it online. Secondly, I started reading manga online. I do, however, agree that manga should be pulled offline. But only in exchange for a legal alternative (sorry, I can’t survive without my weekly One Piece). Mangastream does a great job (I think) because they remove chapters as soon as the volume is printed in Japan. That could work with America, too. But really, that will never happen… It’s just too hard to get every single copy off the internet.
Sorry, I’ve been having this discussion with a lot of people lately… ^-^;
I Think Olny Long Lasting Manga Should be Online Like Naruto And Bleach. There Is no Reason Not To Buy Manga With Just 10 Vol,But Manga With Like 20 Or So Just Are Not Always Do-able By Manga Books.
OMG YES I’M WORRIED!! D:
I love so much anime and manga, they better not cancel Naruto!!!! I want to voice act in an anime one day! and if anime gets canel overall….god i can’t imangine it! D:
Poor Rose, I know the feeling of them not releasing the last couple volumes cause they are too lazy…I mean… out of buisness.
omg yes if they did that i could never finsh all the many mangas that i read and havent finshed. :’( i dont want them to go!!!
NekoGirlMala Don’t need to worry on that part anime will not dissapear me and one of my friends are going to start our own anime peoduction company. Well it’ll be classified as sudo anime but anyways we will start it on youtube. Try and become youtube partners and once we pick up a following on our first one picks up a following we will try to get it on Sfy’s Ani-Mondays
I usually prefer anime because I read shonen and its a tad annoying reading shonen battles through panels (which guy attacked that guy? @_@)
I think its a good idea to have manga on the web because it 1) introduces you to new series to read instead of standing in a bookstore for 5 hours, 2) you dont have to buy it (yeah, I know that its not right, but Ultimo is worth it!), and 3) there are tons of series I got of Shonen Jump that didn’t start to be sold in stores for months after 20 or so chapters (ex: Ultimo, Tegami Bachi, Soul Eater, Toriko). Plus, Im not the type to re-read manga, so its better for me to just read it online…speaking of which, where is the new Soul Eater chapter? Its still on 72 D:
Normally I would be worried but there are a lot of scantalations out there done by fans, and I think if anything fans of manga might start creating their own publishing company’s.
Not a whole hell of a lot, no. I like manga, but I don’t read much. Most of what I read is already available and just waiting for me to pick it up.
neeeh i don’t ker >>.
bcz i don’t have story in my city…how poor hting
NOOOOO NOT…THE MANGAAAAAAA!!!!
TAKE ANYTHING!!!(not anime either )
I’d rather see the republicans taken away before manga.
T_T soo sad! I have a bad habit of picking up a manga that never gets to see completion…(like “Van Von Hunter”)
The decline in anime and manga scares me because I hope to one day open my own business that revolves around both *day-dreams* but the economy isn’t what it use to be.. so perhaps my dream is not meant to be…
I live how the article is all gibberish
I’m more sad that my manga is ending. Bye bye FMA
Yes, a lot. Then again, I worry about everything…
I’m actually really mad at Viz Media. They banned most of the manga on mangafox so i’m bored and depressed.
Lol i dont know is rose is trying to turn mat into a milkshake or what, but…im worried about the future of manga. simply for this reason:THE CHAPTER 81 OF OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB ISN’T OUT YET!!!!!!!!!!
In one word? Yes….
poor Rose I understand her -w-
lol sounds like my friend XD
Manga shall live on
wow, you’re actually haveing a freak attack neodarklight.
I am not too worried. Manga is a way of life. Manga will never die out. NEVER.
i love how the screen is just a big jumple of letters
*jumble
