The sad part is…no matter what, I’m an endangered species. I like to think I’m insane, because only someone who is truly insane can be called a genius/artist/etc., because it takes an insane person to ignore reality and rational thought to have such creativity and boundless imagination. To get to the point:a delightfully insane person in a slowly-dying-of-boredom-sane world

I’m an otaku! No matter what I do the ‘normies’ are going to call me weird. If I suddenly start blabbing about how awesome Full metal Alchemist or D. Gray man is I get weird looks. If I bring my manga to school. I still get weird looks. And don’t get me started on the time I brought my Death Note to school. People think of me as strange.I just accept it. I’m the only otaku I know (besides an ecchi, hentai fangirl in my class) and I’m swimming in a sea of normies.

Oh my god me too, sooo many “normies” intrude upon your average otaku lifestyle!!! Me and my friend would go out in public dressed in fma cosplay, and people would laugh, stare, point and talk about us behind our backs. Some people have even come straight up to us just to say “what the hell are you wearing” And me and my friend just responded: “get outta here you friggin noob,we are otaku we can live how ever the heck we want to,and you cant do anything about it!!!!”

I’m an almost sane person who thinks I’m crazy, living in a crazy world that “knows” it’s sane.

This is what I was told and I have since adopted it. The world is insane and to be sane in and insane world just means you need to match what the world is doing; thus, you need to be insane. In other words, a perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world is insanity.

Hmmmm, this is a very interesting question. I think I’m more of a crazy person in a sane world. But then again you’ve got all the mainstream sheep who’ll follow any fad, any person who is cool, and basically are total tools wanting to “fit in”, and that leads me to believe that I am a sane person in a crazy world……but then again there’s my spazzy otaku factor…..hmmmm…
