yea, it was a game/hobby store called The Kid in Me. we got to play games, read books and manga, chat about everything nerd and otaku wise, have card game and video game tournaments, etc etc. and the owner would sell drinks and snacks ^-^…but it had to close down because the owner went bankrupt T-T

Daddy’s toys comic shop closing sucked, especially since we made jokes about the name.
Oh drat, I wasn’t the first to comment. Well, there was this cute family resturant near us that served italian food. I liked their meatballs and garlic bread. (But not as much as I love the Chinese food of the resturant that sits there now)

Very good Chinese restaurant called Blue Orchid opened in my town a few years ago. closed due to car crashing thru empty storefront next to them and into their dining room. everyone in town thought they were going to fix it up. instead, it is becoming a Japanese restaurant called Ginjo.

Yeah, I love Walden Books. I love working there too. Except it goes out of business in two days. Leaving me without books, and a job

So far, no. And this isn’t fair! Everybody has some place near them filled with anime, manga, etc. and I live in Tennessee where whenever I say “Anime” they are like “Is that some kind of food with gravy and bacon?” I’m not even kidding! They put bacon and gravy on EVERYTHING!

yes… a small toy store near us (around 3-4 blocks) who sells toy very cheaply. you can buy a gundam model also at a very affordable price (back then). And there were a lot of puzzle toys which was a big hit, for some reason.

Yea, it was Yi’s Asian mart and it was the only place I could find everything I could have ever wanted from Japan. I was so sad when Mr. Yi told me they were going out of business; I cried for a week strait… after buying everything I could get my hands on. Now I can’t find this one fish shaped Ice cream, well it has like a sweet bread, shaped like a fish on the out side and in side it has red bean paste and vanilla ice cream. It is so good!
In undergraduate there was a comic store very close to campus that was very small, but had a great owner who gave the best service you could hope for. It was called the Comic Bookie, and I went there every Wednesday. Eventually I managed to move to the apartment complex across the street, and for two months, I lived right next door to a comic store. And then it closed.

There was this place near where i grew up called Digital Extreme. It was a LAN gaming place. Just a bunch of nerds hanging out talking about video games and having fun. Once a month they would have a thing called a lock in where you would go and play games for 12 hours. So naturally me and my friend would show up like 4 or 5 hours early.
yaah…i feel so sad …uaaah…i love somthing bau like you say it closit…

Yes! It too was a SUSHI RESTAURANT! It was a place i fell in love with last year when my friends from anime club took me there. It was awesome, you ordered sushi and they sent it around on a conveyor belt (not a new concept to others I’m sure, but it was new and wonderful to me). It was like Heaven.
Over the Christmas break I promised my girlfriend that I’d take her there when she visited me next. I get back to school and my friends tell me it’s been closed. I was so sad.
