Umm… Hm… I think Rock Band and Guitar Hero have been over used and abused. Rock Band has many different forms, like the Beatles and LEGOS. (Yes Legos has a Rock Band.) However, Guitar Hero has Aerosmith (w< Yuuna has spoken!!

Ahhh, now this is a topic i know a bit about. Id say they both have there pros and cons. Rock Band has a better DLC and Export selection (but dont even talk to me about the Lego RB export, that was pure hell) but as of GH5, they pirfected the gameplay and its all around more fun to play GH over RB. Now there is the argument that Activision is making too many games,but i think thats just a fanboy argument and doesnt matter when it comes to rythem games. Id have to pick GH because I find it more fun to play.

Guitar Hero, the controller buttons are smaller so I can use them easier, and the notes are easier to hit and have more leniency.

To me, they are pretty much the same thing. I find them both enjoyable, but my first music video game was Guitar Hero 3, so I voted for that.

Rock band not only is one of my two favorite party video games (alongside, of course, Super Smash Bros. Brawl), but it also features gameplay that’s challenging, but not over the top like Guitar Hero, chatacter creation, a fantastic setlist (though GH2′s setlist still takes the cake, it was far shorter), and significantly better formatted tour modes.

Leko, though I understand where you’re coming from, I have to disagree. Not only does it have the bonus of being able to play all four instruments, compared to GH’s 2 (guitar and bass), but even if it is ’1/4 of a game’, like you say, by your logic buying GH would be buying half of a game, and buying ANY multiplayer game would be bad, as the more people it could support, the worse. The ability to have more players is a feature, not a downside. You don’t need all four people to make it fun.

i like rock band’s interface and character creation better but guitar hero is a more difficult game overall so i play that when i want a real challenge

I prefer Guitar Hero. Rock Band is great, but if you don’t have 3 friends to invite over to play it all the time, it’s like you’ve only bought 1/4 of a game.
